Mouthwatering recipes for your lick mat
SALMON SPREAD
Oily fish are a real gold mine for the health of our furry friends! Rich in proteins and omega 3 and 6, they contribute to the good maintenance of the joints as well as the shine and health of their coat.
For this recipe we have chosen salmon, but you can use other fish such as sardines, mackerel or even herring.
NB: if you choose another type of fish, be sure to always take it raw. Canned fish has way too much fat content for dogs. Or choose canned fish in water and without aromatics. Rinse well before use.
Ingredients:
- 30g raw salmon
- 1 square of fromage frais, like Kiri or cottage cheese.
Preparation:
Steam the salmon without adding seasoning for 15 minutes.
After cooking, finely crumble the salmon and add the square of fromage frais (or a good tablespoon of fromage blanc). Spread the amount suitable for your dog on the lick mat and serve!
You can keep this preparation for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
REFRESHING FRUIT SALAD
Just like us humans, our animal friends need to cool off during extreme heat. Our 4-legged friends' tongues are a great way for them to cool down.
With this recipe, you will not only keep your companion occupied, but you will also help him to lower his body temperature.
